Math
I just finished my studies concerning my Cisco test tomorrow. Chapter 6 of 9. I'm hoping to get about 90% correct, which is what I've gotten during the previous chapters, more or less. Would be nice to get my first score of 100%. We'll see
Now I'll have to continue with Math. We're not really working with anything complicated, but it's still tiresome work. But I just have to do this and I'll be almost done with the entire course. I just have to finish up an old assignment and do the national tests.
Other news is that I've ordered my first VPS. Sad part will be the increased monthly cost of my overall hosting. Which goes up from $25 to $50. But hopefully it will be worth it by getting a website environment that works smoother, and all the various knowledge I'll learn by playing around with it. Time will tell.
Anyhow, nothing lengthy this time. Time to get back to work.
Journey back
Well, it was again time for me to return home. A week isn't much time, especially when you fill it with work. But at least I've seen some glimpse of Tova, which will keep me going for the next two months. Next time will be June 19th.
About 4 hours of my 18 hour trip has passed. It's 11.18pm and I do feel quite tired already. I tried to get some energy by buying two bottles of Pepsi (They have no coke), but alas. So unless my tiredness fades, I'll probably go to bed soon.
I wish I had a traveling companion.
I'll arrive around 3.17pm, and if all goes as planned I'll have a long overdue "cup of coffee" with my sister. Minus the coffee part. Yuck.
After that I'll just go home and take it easy for a while. And then hell awaits with its challenges. Lets see if we can reach some more neutral ground soon, it's taking a toll on me.
Also, on a different note. Any WoW people out there supporting the alliance? ;) We need to regroup and counter attack the ever charging horde.
VPS, Tova and whatnot
I was already going to write a post on Monday, but I got a bit sidetracked and Tova got home, so what can you do. ;)
So instead of writing at the beginning of the week, lets write at the end of the week.
It's Easter! .. not that I'm really excited whether it's Easter or not. :P I'm just happy you get to be free from school for a week during this time. Well, somewhat free anyway. I promised my teacher that I'd do an assignment, that's due today. And you guessed correctly, it's not yet done. But it will be. Hopefully.
But yeah, since it's Friday, that means I only have one more night here before my long journey home begins. I'm a bit sad that I haven't been able to see Tova that much due to her large amount of work. But that's how life is I guess. You wait two months to come here and wait for your loved one to get home so you can see a movie and go to bed :P
Some day maybe life will be more gentle on me. Some day.
And if we'll move on to the "VPS" part of the subject.. VPS stands for Virtual Private Server. A server is a computer that's meant to serve other computers. A private server is obviously your own server, or that no one else can configure that server but you. Aand Virtual Private Server is almost like a private server, with the exception that it isn't a server of it's own. It's been virtually created within a server. Like a server within a server. So no one can configure that server but you, just like a ordinary private server (or dedicated server). But since it's not standalone it has its downsides. At least it's as close you can get to the cake without actually getting the cake. And to a fraction of the cost as well.
Now, I'm sure most of you skipped that part. But the point I was getting at is that I'll be getting a VPS most likely. Due to recent events concerning one of my websites. It will double my hosting bills, but I'm sure it will be fun to play around with.
Anyway, I have to return to trying to study.
Until next time
