Tired!
Today's been a long day.
Waking up at 7am on a Saturday is not really fun, especially if you went to bed after 1am. But it was moving day for my mom, and of course I volunteered to help.
Apparently I was a bit too optimistic concerning the plans for today, as I thought it wouldn't take very long and I'll have the rest of the day to relaxing. That of course didn't go as planned, and it took several more hours than expected. So right now every single muscle aches, and I feel totally spent. Still.. it feels good.
After I came home I played some World of Tanks with my brother, as I felt I've been neglecting him too much lately. I've thought about going to the movies with him or something, but I just never get around to it. There's always so much else to do, haha. But it was nice to get some time for that as well for a change.
Something else I got some time for was testing out ToR, which I talked about yesterday. My gal' was visiting friends, so what better time to sit down, relax after a long day and unleash the geek on a brand new game?
Honestly I was a bit skeptic to it, and feared it'd just crash and burn like everything else in the MMO market trying to compete against WoW. But I got positively surprised by it, and it turned out to be quite fun. I'd probably continue playing right now if I didn't feel like my time is running out for this evening (no time for games? haha, a few years ago there was no such thing as "no time for games") . There's a lot of things that feels refreshing compared to WoW, but at the same time it's hard comparing the two at this stage. WoW really is a big MMO that's very social, while ToR almost feels like a single player game except that you can see the other players playing it.
That's both good and bad I guess. I'm probably very drawn to it because I love single player RPGs, and have played the Knights of the Old Republic games years ago. But having a good, compelling story line from the start, that's special to your class feels great. Lets you learn the story, and your character in a fun and calm environment. I've only played the first few levels, so I have no clue about how dungeons, pvp and all that works. But so far it's very interesting, and there's hope for it.
Almost makes me want to buy them game when it releases. Almost.
